About Us

Ashlyns Festival began in 2018 with the ambitious idea of hosting a two-day festival as a large-scale PTA fundraising event, extending the invitation to our local community from Berkhamsted and beyond to enjoy live music, great food, and a chance to celebrate the start of summer with friends and families in the beautiful grounds of Ashlyns School.

In 2019, we introduced the Friday Comedy & Curry night as the perfect opener for the Festival, which proved to be hugely popular and was consistently sold out.

Whilst the following years saw our fundraising events thwarted by the Covid-19 pandemic and put a pause on the Festival, we were thrilled to have been able to hold a scaled-down version in 2022 with just a Comedy Night, gently easing us back into organising such a huge event! The opportunity to pause gave the team of volunteers a chance to introduce a number of changes to build on the success from previous years, and ensure a successful festival going forward.

This year, in 2023, we are back – bigger and better! The festival will take place all on one field, making it a safe, family-friendly event, and enabling us to offer car-parking. We will also have a large fun zone, full of activities for all ages. It goes without saying, no festival would be complete without fabulous food from local businesses and the ever-popular Glow-Up tent for all your essential festival make-up. We will also be supporting a number of local charities, making this a truly community-led event.
